课程纲要 一、【开课系所】: 二、【开课年级】: 三、【修别】: 选修 四、【科目名称】(中文):近代西方医学史 (英文):A History of Health, Disease and Society, 1800-1930 五、【先修科目】: 六、【学分数】:三 学分 七、【授课时数】:三 小时 八、【教学目标】: 十九世纪到二十世纪初之间,西方医学不论就知识体系、机构、医病关系以及政府与医学之间的关系,都有巨大改变.本课程以Manchester大学所出版一套两册之Medicine Transformed: Health, Disease and Society in Europe 1800-1930,Health, Disease and Society in Europe 1800-1930: A Source Book为基本教材,并佐以补充史料与文献,由政治、文化、经济与知识内容转变的角度切入讨论这阶段中种种转变.本课程除了让学生对於西方近代医学史的发展有基础性的认识之外,也试图讨论诸多STS与医学史的关切,如医病关系、阶级与医疗、殖民与种族、医疗专业化、医学与社会控制等等. 导论 疾病的局部化与病人的消失 N.
