How surveyors use 3D Laser Scanning Technology in
digital recording of structures
测量师如何利用三维激光扫描爲建筑物数码存档
Land surveyors in Hong Kong have been using 3D Laser Scanning Technology for
over four years and this technology has proven to be an ideal tool to aid decisions in
urban development in the respect of building maintenance, heritage conservation and
infrastructure construction. The technology has been applied to capture the 3D images
of Old Star Ferry Pier, Roof of the Old Blake Pier, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb, Tai Fu Tai
Mansion in San Tin and the fire boat Alexander Grantham, and a large number of
retaining walls and slopes in digital form ready for further manipulation. New
applications are also being developed.
This press conference will introduce the following:
1. The principle, characteristic and operation of 3D laser scanner
2. The functions, accuracy and working range of 3D laser scanner
3. How laser scanner can help in construction work monitoring
4. The limitations of laser scanner
5. Illustration on usage of laser scanner
香港的测量师早在四年前已采用三维激光扫描技术.此技术在城市建设中的屋宇维修保
养、文物保护和基础建设等事项中提供有力支援.三维激光扫描技术已应用於收集旧天星
码头、旧卜公码头上盖、李郑屋汉墓、新田大夫第、灭火轮「葛量洪号」及多幅挡土墙与
斜坡的三维影像数据,作为日后的参考.新的应用亦正在开发中.
